Dallas Baptist University intends to help its students “cultivate an expansive, holistic Christian vision of life and culture that prepares them to think, live, and serve throughout the world.”
The University helps their students “discover the extent of their own abilities and callings” and equips them “for a life of significant service for the Kingdom of God.” The school intends for the students to “experience the pleasure of God in doing their best for His purposes.”
Mission Arlington is grateful to partner with Dallas Baptist University in this endeavor. DBU students work along side Mission Arlington each week in a variety of ways, using their abilities and giftedness to make a difference in the lives of people.
This past Saturday, the group of students pictured above arrived at Mission Arlington ready to work. They moved bikes, sorted clothes, loaded furniture, and pitched in enthusiastically wherever they were needed.
Their spirit was an encouragement to Mission Arlington staff, volunteers, and guests, and their hard work made an authentic and practical difference in the work here.
Students from the University are here each week helping inner city children with their homework, teaching Bible studies, writing Bible study curriculum, helping in the business office, in the medical clinics, and so much more.
Mission Arlington is grateful for its continuing partnership with the wonderful Christian community at Dallas Baptist. Together, we are making a difference in His name.
