News: Merry Christmas from Mission Arlington
Thursday, December 25, 2008 1:00 AM
Mission Arlington stays open 364 days a year, but closes on Christmas day.
The Christmas Star you see on all Mission communications is integral to the heart of who we are. Like the Bethlehem star of old, Mission Arlington desires to be a place which points the way to Jesus.
We attempt to provide authentic help to people in need on a daily basis. Simply enough, we pass along what you give - without charge. And, we try to do it with a lot of love, protecting people’s dignity along the way. People who come to Mission Arlington receive personal attention from people who genuinely care.
We can be here every day, because you care. And before that, we know that God cared for us by providing the first Christmas gift - the gift of His son. His love motivates and inspires us to keep on giving, and to share the best gift we have - which isn’t food or clothing, but the good news that the child born in Bethlehem’s manger lives and loves today. All who so desire can have a personal relationship with this Son of God.
So, from our family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas. We are grateful for you, and for the joy we have of walking this journey together.
Tomorrow, the day after Christmas, Mission Arlington will open again, ready to keep sharing the good news and help for families in need.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
