Mission Arlington Bible study leaders collected buses and vans early Saturday morning. Excitement was in the air. They were on their way to locations all across the city to pick up eager children ready for camp. More than 300 enthusiastic young people arrived at Mission Arlington by 9:00 a.m., ready for a full day.
Mission Arlington had one of its best camps ever. 10 of the young people asked Christ into their lives. All of them heard about Jesus’ love for them through a creative re-enactment of Jesus’ parable about the prodigal son. They also saw His love demonstrated through the many volunteers who stayed and played with them all day long.
The camp was hosted once again by Camp Thurman and its excellent staff and volunteers. Swimming, Zip lines, mountain climbing walls, and many other creative activities and events were all a part of this camp.
Thanks to each of you who do so much to support the work of Mission Arlington with children. Please keep praying with and for the Mission Arlington family as they lead five more camps through the month of July.
We are grateful for the privilege of serving our Lord in this place.
