News: Easter’s Images

The Easter season is an important time for the Mission Arlington® family.  Pictured above are a few of the images from the season.

The Easter Egg Hunt: On the far left is a young boy finding Easter eggs at the “World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt,” held the Saturday before Easter.  Though the total numbers aren’t in yet, we know that more than 4,000 children attended this event.

Families from across our community enjoyed a room full of bouncy houses, free hot dogs with chips, and a giant field full of Easter eggs.  Everyone who attended this event got to hear the biblical story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Tillie Burgin, our Executve Director, is pictured at the egg hunt.

A Youth focused Easter Service: On Maunday Thursday during Easter week, Mission Arlington® hosted a worship service for the youth of our community. 200 young people attended this service. Special music, a wonderful testimony, an Easter message, and free pizza with small group discussions were all a part of the evening. Heather, a Bible study leader on Arlington’s north side, is pictured here with one of her youth.

Something Extra - An Easter Store: 1,500 people attended the Easter Store, a two day extravaganza designed to provide some of the “extras” for families during the Easter season.  Pictured above is a young girl getting her “Easter basket filled with candy.” Everyone who came through the Easter store also heard the biblical story of Christ’s death and resurrection.

Thank you for all that each of you did to make Easter at Mission Arlington® so special. Your gifts of eggs filled with candy, Easter candy, and volunteer support made a huge impact on the lives of many people in our community.

We are grateful for you!
