Mission Arlington's Summer Missionaries

Summer Missionaries Make An Impact

Altogether, fifty-two (52) young people spent the summer working with Mission Arlington’s summer programs, camps, emergency assistance ministry, medical clinics, and more. They also taught the Bible each week to children and youth in Mission Arlington’s extended Bible studies and congregations.

Who will teach us?

Kyrstin, a Summer Missionary from Wichita Falls, tearfully shared how difficult her last Sunday morning Bible study had been. She had to tell the children in attendance that she wouldn’t be there the next Sunday, because she was going home.  The children naturally responded, “Miss Kyrstin, who will teach us?” Kyrstin couldn’t give them an answer.

We will miss them

When Summer Missionaries begin to go home at the end of the summer, they leave holes. In the first place, the Mission Arlington family falls in love with them, and we can’t stand to see them go. Even though they will always be a part of our extended family, we can’t help but miss them.

Who will take their place?

More significantly, many of the places where they extended the good news of Jesus Christ, now have no active witness.  Mission Arlington will work to cover these places, of course, in the best way that we can. Yet, committed Christian witnesses are needed, on a weekly basis, to share the good news with those who haven’t heard.

Your Prayers Matter

Thank you for your continued prayers, as we attempt to reach our community for Christ. When you pray, please ask the Lord to send workers into the fields, for they truly are “white unto harvest.”

Thankful

We thank God for the precious young people He sent our way.  We thank Him daily for you.
