News: Rain or Shine

With the prospect of heavy rains and high winds entering the DFW Metroplex, Rainbow Express begins its third week.

Close to 1,200 people gathered outside on Sunday evening to worship, and to celebrate the beginning of another big week of Rainbow Express.

Monday morning, groups gathered to hear again the commission of Christ as he sends his disciples into all the earth.  Students were reminded that, at Mission Arlington, the “rain plan” is the same as the “dry plan.”  It is the Lord who sends us, and He isn’t surprised by the rain.

Into the afternoon hours, student groups served throughout the community - cleaning, picking up, and generally making things better wherever they went.  As school lets out, these teams of dedicated young people will spread out into forty-six (46) different locations to teach God’s word, and to “love on” the children and youth of our community.

God’s love for us never stops.  We praise Him for the privilege of sharing that love - rain or shine.

Thank you for all the ways you continue to support the Mission Arlington family, and the Lord’s work throughout our community.

We are grateful!
