According to an Associated Press report published today, “691,000 children went hungry in America sometime in 2007, while close to one in eight Americans struggled to feed themselves adequately even before this year’s sharp economic downturn.”
In Arlington, the number of people coming through Mission Arlington for food is on the rise.
On Monday, November 17th, 275 families came to Mission Arlington to request food assistance.
This means that for one day, Mission Arlington provided food for 1,375 people.
Each family receives enough food to last them for 3 - 5 days.
Mission Arlington is able to supply the food that people need, because of your continued faithfulness to give.
Day by day, individuals, families, schools, businesses, and civic organizations collect food for people who come to Mission Arlington for help.
Your help is making a difference every single day.
The Mission Arlington family is grateful for you every single day.
