News: A Full Front Room

The front room of Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex

Mission Arlington’s front room is the place where people receive help for emergency needs. Lately, our front room has been filled to overflowing. People who have always worked can’t find jobs, and times are tough for everyday people.

The number of families coming through for help continues to stay steady. Though we average 250 families a day (six days a week), there are days when we provide help to more than 300 families.

This means that about 1,000 people are coming through our front room each day to receive clothes, household items, furniture, food, and emergency financial assistance. Yesterday, Mission Arlington provided help to 270 families. Our “front room”  truly has been filled to the brim.

We provide each family in need with enough food to last three to five days.  In 23 years of ministry, because of your faithful generosity, we have always had just enough to meet the need.  No one is ever turned away.

One of our greatest privileges, beyond meeting the physical needs, is to listen to and pray with the people coming through our front doors. The people we work with day in and day out are among the most courageous people you could ever meet. Doing what we do truly brings us great joy.

Thank you for the way you pray, give, and serve to make a difference in this place. We can do what we do, because you care. Your help matters! Together, and with God’s help, we are making a difference.

Praise His Name!
