News: Spiritual Refreshment

Sunday, May 25, 2008 5:00 AM

People of all ages attend Mission Arlington Revivals.

A Refreshing Wind

Mission Arlington tent revivals begin this week. These outdoor events under tents may seem old-fashioned to some, but they are as relevant and meaningful as a fresh breeze on a hot summer day.

Revivals provide the physical and emotional space people need to reconnect with God, or to meet Him for the very first time. This connection is refreshing, bringing new life and/or renewed energy which people need and want.

For these Days

It doesn’t take much to recognize that these days are hard and harsh for many in our world.  With earthquakes in China, cyclones in Myanamar, explosions in India, and economic uncertainty around the globe and at home, we recognize how fragile life can be.

Now More than Ever

On a personal level, doubts and decisions, questions and struggles, worries, guilt, and fear seem to be a daily part of people’s lives.  Revivals remind each of us that we need the Lord, and that His love and power are sufficient to meet all our needs. God cares, and His help is available for those who open their heart to Him.  Truly, we need Him now more than ever.

How you can join in!

Perhaps you are someone who recognizes a need for renewal in your own life.  If you would like to attend a Mission Arlington tent revival in your area, call 817-277-6620, x 214 for information about the date, time, and place of an event near you.

Or, if you are someone who already knows the meaning of revival in your own life, then you understand our desire for these events to be covered in prayer.  Pray for these events to have a personal, life-changing impact in the lives of as many people as possible.

Beyond that, however, pray that these revival events become sparks which will ignite a spreading wildfire of spiritual renewal in our own community and beyond.  Your prayers will make a difference.

Thank You

Thanks to each of you who pray with and for us each week, and for the generous sacrificial gifts of your time and finances which make this ministry possible.  May our Lord’s blessings be yours.
