News: Excited Anticipation
Monday, March 17, 2008 8:31 AMSpring Break week at Mission Arlington Mission Metroplex has started. We are looking forward to it with great anticipation.
Rainbow Express
By 10:30 last night the last group of students made it to Arlington. 1,200 of them from 13 different states have made their way here, following God’s call, to make an impact in our community.
Rain or shine, these students will be in 120 different locations today teaching the Bible and loving the students who are out of school for Spring Break.
More than 50 people have already accepted Christ this year. We are praying with anticipation that many more will come to Him this week.
The Easter Store
Mission Arlington’s Easter Store opens this Wednesday here at our main campus. The store provides new clothes and easter baskets so that people can have something special for this Easter weekend. Everyone who comes to this store will hear the Easter Story.
Youth Outreach Concert
This Thursday evening, on Maunday Thursday, Mission Arlington is sponsoring a free youth concert for youth in our community. The John Wayne Brigade, a group of students from Dallas Baptist University, will lead the worship time.
Tim Ramos, an accomplished youth speaker, and a dedicated servant of the Lord, will speak to the youth. Please pray with the Mission Arlington family about this important event.
Good Friday Services
A special service celebrating Good Friday will be held at Mission Arlington’s Grace Street church at 7:00 pm. Special music, the Lord’s Supper, and the Seven Last Word’s of Christ will be a focus for the evening.
The “World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt”
3,500 children are expected to attend Mission Arlington’s Easter egg hunt this Saturday, March 22nd from 10 to 2. Bouncy houses, face painting, carnival games, shetland ponies, food, and so much more, will be a part of the day.
Of course, 100,000 Easter eggs are being stuffed and will be ready for the kids to find. We call it the “World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt,” because it is huge, and it is so much fun.
The event this year will be held at 1516 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Mission Arlington’s Lockwood facility at the southwest corner of 303 and fielder Rd.
Easter Sunday Morning
On Easter Sunday, 6,000 people will gather in Mission Arlington congregations to worship a Risen Lord. Praise His Name!
We Thank God for you!
What a week this will be. Your prayers and constant support make such a difference here. We are grateful!
