News: Youth Rally for School
Friday, August 22, 2008 5:00 AM
Several hundred youth from across the city will gather with Mission Arlington at a youth rally tonight - just prior to the beginning of a new school year.
The Mission Arlington family loves to work with youth. The summer has been full of opportunities to work with young people throughout our community (Rainbow Express, Camps, Mission trips, Retreats, Summer programs, and more). Now, as the summer comes to an end, and before school begins, youth will gather together one last time.
They will come together with the Mission Arlington family to worship God. Tim Ramos, a popular youth speaker, will talk with them about what it means to be a Christian, and how to stay strong in their faith, as they go back to school. Students will listen to and worship with the student-led band Wayward, made up of Dallas Baptist University students.
After the worship time, the students will receive pizza, and head back across Arlington to spend time with their Bible study leaders. They will share specific prayer requests, and talk about ways to support each other as Christians who are living out their faith at school.
Please pray with and for Mission Arlington as they love and serve the youth in this community. Pray also for the young people as they get ready to go back to school.
