News: Reflecting Christ

Friday, July 03, 2009 6:59 PM

The City of Arlington is celebrating the fourth of July holiday in new and creative ways this year.

Hailed as “Light Up Arlington,” the event includes activities for all age groups, plus a 9:45 pm fireworks show emanating from the eight story city tower in the center of downtown. Thousands are expected to attend.

One part of the evening’s festivities is a KIDs Zone, filled with every kind of conceivable bouncy house.  Children who attend this event can bounce to their heart’s delight. They won’t soon forget this fun-filled evening.

The Mission Arlington family has the privilege of participating in this event. Mission Arlington’s committed and energetic summer missionaries stand at each bouncy house, helping children to enjoy the evening.

The smiles on the faces of our summer missionaries tell the story. The Mission Arlington family simply loves being with people and serving our Lord in this city.

As “Light Up Arlington” comes and goes, our prayer is that people will see the light of Jesus reflected in us.

Praise His Name!
