Mission Arlington Turkeys in Storage

Mission Arlington needs your help - to help the people. Please bring turkeys (frozen or thawed) to the Mission Offices before Thanksgiving day. Currently we do not have enough turkeys to meet the need.

More people are needing food on a daily basis just to get by. The number of people coming in through Mission Arlington’s front door has jumped by 9 percent in the last couple of months. Each day, approximately 275 families come to Mission arlington for help.

Last year, because of the generosity of this community, Mission Arlington provided food for approximately 17,000 people on Thanksgiving day. Because of the current troubles in the economy which affect everyone, Mission Arlington is expecting the number of people needing Thanksgiving help to increase. Requests for help are up over this time last year.

It takes approximately 4,500 turkeys on Thanksgiving day to help the people.  Currently, Mission Arlington still needs many more turkeys in order to have enough to help the people.

In 23 years, we have always had just enough to meet the need. We trust that the Lord will provide again this year.

Thank you for all you do to make this possible.
