New Trucks donated to Mission Arlington / Mission Metroplex

Trucks of all sizes and shapes make a huge difference at Mission Arlington / Mission Metroplex.  Six days each week, the Mission uses these trucks to pick up and distribute donated items of clothing, food, household items and furniture to families in need.

Volunteers who use these trucks to deliver the much needed furniture return to the Mission with smiles on their faces. The scriptural adage is true: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” This is especially meaningful when giving a child a bed to sleep on, or a kitchen table to a family for them to sit around.

For 22 years, Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex has depended upon donated vehicles.  The Lord has always made this work.  Lately, however, these old trucks have gotten rather ragged

Two of them this past week were decommissioned, because they simply couldn’t shoulder another load.  The Mission family began to pray, because there weren’t enough vehicles to get the work done.

At just the right time, and in such an amazing way, the Lord responded to meet this need.  Through the generous gifts of Don Davis Auto Group (Robert Howard, President; Mark Plummer, General Manager) and Stephen C. Horning Lockwood, Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex received six brand new Ford F-150 pick up trucks.

These trucks will multiply the Mission’s ability to provide support for hurting people. This gift will, in fact, lift the load of those at Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex who work hard each day to help people in need.

Thanks to each of you who give so sacrificially to the Lord’s work here.  Your gifts of time and money are making an eternal difference.

All Glory to God!
