The Spirit of Mission Arlington

Mission Arlington is more a movement than it is a strategy.  It is more a spirit than it is a structure.  It is more like a family than it is an organization. It is more spiritual than it is religious.  It is as much about God as it is about people. For these reasons and so many more, Mission Arlington doesn’t tend to fit into the customary language of church.  Neither, however, does it fit well into the typical secular categories of social work or other helping institutions.  God has done something good here, and He has done it in his own time and in His own way.

Without hesitation, therefore, our confession is that Mission Arlington belongs to God.  It isn’t our story, but His. It begins and ends with Him.  He planned this long before it happened.  He started this at exactly the right time.  He sustains us moment by moment, and He holds our future in His hands.  As we talk about who we are it is with sincere humility, a sense of dependency, and a commitment to the leadership of His Spirit within us.

We are grateful to each and every one who has walked this journey with us.  Together we will serve Him into the future one day at a time.
