Recognitions of Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex through the years 

Since its inception in 1986, Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex has served as a standard for excellence in non profit social work by a faith-based organization. 

Both religious and mainstream organizations have recognized the efforts of Mission Metroplex and Mission Arlington.  The following is a partial list of awards received by Mission Metroplex, as well as founder/director Tillie Burgin and other mission friends and partners.


2008

Ft. Worth Business Press -  Health Care Hero - Allan Saxe Dental Clinic Director, Jean Cagle, received the Health Care Hero award in January 2008.  Cagle was honored with this award by the Fort Worth Business Press.

2007

Santa USA - Recognition of Tillie Burgin and Mission Metroplex for support of Santa USA and its mission to care for kids. Appreciation expressed to Mission Metroplex for the care given to more than 36,000 children annually.

2006

Yellow Rose of Texas: awarded to Tillie Burgin by Rick Perry, the Governor of Texas. This award is presented to women who better contribute to the betterment of the community. December 2006.

Ebby Rose of Distinction: awarded to Tillie Burgin by Ebby Halliday, REALTORS and CBS 11. September 2006.

Best Volunteer Organization: awarded to Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex by the staff of the Fort Worth Weekly.

Tillie Burgin Day: awarded to Tillie Burgin by Mayor Robert N. Cluck and the Arlington City Council. On the occasion of Mission Arlington’s twentieth (20th) anniversary. Link here!

Business Partner of the Year: awarded to Mission Arlington by the Arlington Police Department. February 23, 2006.

Minister of the Year: awarded to Tillie Burgin by the Arlington Ministerial Alliance for 2005. January 2006.

2005

Congressional Recognition
Presented to Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex in recognition of outstanding and invaluable service to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. By Texas congressional representative Joe Barton. December 9, 2005.

Arlington Hero
Presented to Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex. In recognition and grateful appreciation for heroic services rendered in assisting Arlington visitors seeking shelter from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Presented by the City of Arlington. December 6th, 2005.
