Erin and Jamin serve as Semester Missionaries at Mission Arlington

You may have heard about Mission Arlington’s Summer Missionaries.  Did you know that Mission Arlington also hosts “semester missionaries”?

Semester missionaries are people of all ages who spend part of the year serving the Lord here at Mission Arlington. This spring, God brought Erin and Jamin into the Mission Arlington family.

Erin Smith was planning on spending this semester in Washington D.C., but when her living arrangements fell through at the last second, the North American Mission Board (a Baptist missions agency) told her about Mission Arlington.

A nursing student, Erin was interested in our medical clinic.  God opened the door for her to come. Now she assists in the medical clinic and ministers in East Arlington.

Jamin Santos has come to Mission Arlington before with BSM and youth groups, participating in Rainbow Express and various work projects. When trying to decide where to go for a long-term mission trip, he remembered his visits here and how much he saw God move in this city.

He arrived a few weeks ago and has been a joy since he came. He joined the Outback Team and helps at West Street Church, one of the Mission’s bilingual congregations.

We thank God for Erin and Jamin and all the work they are doing this spring. Pray that God moves more people to serve him here.
