Stories: A Time of Transition
Wednesday, July 30, 2008
They came from all across the United States to serve at Mission Arlington.
They weren’t sure what they were getting themselves into, but they knew that God had asked them to come, and that was all they needed.
Thirty one young adults gave themselves fully this summer to make a difference for the Lord here.
They helped Mission Arlington here at the mission offices and out in the apartment ministries. Whether it was working in the front room, sorting clothes out back, loading a truck, leading a summer program, or a summer camp, these committed young people did all things well.
Now, the summer is coming to the end. Some of these missionaries have left already, and most of them will be gone before long.
Their spiritual enthusiasm encourages the entire Mission Arlington team. They have made a difference here, and we shall sincerely miss them.
Nor shall we soon forget the gift of their lives in our midst. We will keep them in our prayers and on our hearts as they continue to serve their Lord wherever He sends them.
We are better here, because of them, and we look forward to each of them coming back sometime in the future.
