Rainbow Express in the Rain at Mission Arlington

Singing in the Rain . . .

Mission Arlington’s Rainbow Express isn’t dependent upon good weather. Groups come from across North America and from within Texas to tell young people about Jesus Christ in creative and meaningful ways.

Rainbow Express always meets outside, right where people live.  We do this because the places where we hold Rainbow Express most often don’t have an indoor space big enough to hold the number of students in attendance.  Also, when groups meet outside, more people will see what is happening and attend, instead of staying at home.

Holding up the roof at a rainy Mission Arlington Rainbow ExpressThe church pictured here, from Goldthwaite, TX, wouldn’t let a little thing like getting wet stop them from their mission of loving children and sharing the good news about God’s love.  The church took some plastic with them and created a roof using their bus and some makeshift poles.

The rain was well-received in our community this week. Mission Arlington is so grateful for student groups who value caring for young people in our community more than they care for their own personal comfort.

This kind of love really is making a difference in our city.
