Arlington, Texas

Whereas
Tillie Burgin is the Associate Pastor of Missions at First Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas; and

Whereas
it was her vision and leadership that led to the establishment of Mission Arlington in 1986; and

Whereas
Mission Arlington has collected and provided free distribution of food, clothing, and household goods as well as transportation, medical and dental services for those in need; and

Whereas
this partnership of service and commitment between Tillie Burgin, Mission Arlington and the Arlington community has served as a inspiration for faith-based organizations across the country.

Now, therefore
I, Dr. Robert N. Cluck, Mayor of the City of arlington, Texas, and on behalf of the Arlington City Council, do hereby proclaim August 1, 2006, as
